Good Governance Creativity and flexibility in the absence of budget

SMEs have pros and cons with respect to corporations. Anyway, some of them slipped in the ranking GPTW. López PorAndrés

good thing usually comes in small packages, says the popular saying. And it seems that the world of the best companies to work for this rule can be applied: the results of this year's GPTW reveal that not only large corporations are places with good work environment: a club, a law firm, a restaurant and one site also showed good results.

With fewer employees, SMEs provide closer contact with the owners. Although the practice shows that have good business sense does not mean good people management. Another fact is the absence of widespread areas of RR. HH. Although there are exceptions: "In our case, we have an area manager and a team of three people," explica Rodrigo Teijeiro, CEO y fundador de Sonico, un portal de Internet que ocupa el lugar 19 entre las 50 mejores empresas para trabajar.

Para Julio Caballero, socio del estudio Mitrani, Caballero, Rosso, Alba, Francia, Ojam & Ruiz Moreno, se puede hacer de otra forma: “Existen comités de seguimiento y gestión para la selección, reclutamiento, career planning, development and training and corporate events for employees, "says the lawyer with the firm that occupied the 36th place ranking.

Being less bureaucratic, SMEs also have the advantage of being able to create, build and implement actions more quickly and correct them if they are not successful. In this regard, Teijeiro says

"We have the same challenges as a multinational. The key is finding the best talent in the market, recruit and train. "

However, not everything is rosy: the budget, usually narrow, often forcing them to be more creative when to address actions. "We have flexible hours, special leave, shopping discounts and group trips, among other" lists Teijeiro. In this framework, the company has to decide, on budget, what activities outsourced and which carries out indoors. "In our case, a full time specialist deals with administrative matters. But we have the support of an external consultant, who diagnoses and provides opportunities for improvement, "describes Knight.

March for independence of Western Sahara.

State Coordinating Association of Friendship and Solidarity with the Saharawi people (CEAS) and the Civic Platform Pro-Referendum in Western Sahara have called a demonstration for independence of Western Sahara and for the freedom of the Saharawi political prisoners in jails Moroccans.

The desire for justice of the Saharan and all who support their cause has increased, if possible, after the King of Morocco Mohammed VI insisted on 7 November in "full sovereignty" of Morocco on Sahara and charge against what he called "enemies of territorial integrity." Mohammed VI launched the threats in his speech on the occasion of the thirtieth fourth anniversary of the Green March, but also ensured that respects the international community, forgetting that the United Nations protect the inalienable right of the Saharawi people to self determination.

Because governments, starting with the English, choose to ignore the injustice of the Saharawi people live, CEAS and the Civic Platform Pro-Referendum in Western Sahara call upon civil society to participate in the march next Saturday in Madrid .

The march will begin at 12:00 Saturday November 14 at Atocha and end at the Puerta del Sol will involve representatives of political parties, trade unions, NGOs, Associations of Friendship and Solidarity with the Saharawi people and personalities of culture and arts projects involved in solidarity with the Saharawi cause: Fernando Colomo, Eduardo Noriega, Fernando Tejero, Veronica Forqué, Rosa Maria Sarda, Javier Fesser and Fara Ahmed (participants in the latest edition of FiSahara ) and participants of the charity project "Just X1Fin ."
